    Herb's Description

    Bombax ceiba Linn. is a tree, 40 m long, and 6 m or more girth, and branched. Lofty and deciduous tree buttressed at the base, with a clear bole of 24-30 m. Branches horizontally spreding, more or less in whorls
    Bombax ceiba Linn.'s Bark. Pale ash to silver grey, smooth in early years, later becoming rough, with irregular vertical cracks
    Bombax ceiba Linn.'s Flowers: fleshy in texture, yellow or orange in color, size is usually 10-13 cm in diameter. Numerous, bright crimson, clustered at the end of branches, bisexual, very rarely unisexual, capsules oblong ovoide
    Bombax ceiba Linn.'s Leaves: glabrous in texture, lanceolate in shape, size is usually large. Spreading, digitate, leaflets 5-7, lanceolate 10-20 cm long
