    Thymus serpyllum Linn. A variable, prostrate evergreen shrub, 10-25 cm high. Root stock woody Leaves small, elliptic or oblong-ovate or lanceolate, 6-15 mm long, subsessile, glandular. Flowers polygamous, in whorls, males larger; nutlets smooth.
