5 to 10 mg/kg/day | 7.5 (7.5) | 24 hourly | PO | For paget disease: Dose should not to exceed 6 mo.For retreatment, initiate only after etidronate-free period of at least 90 days and if there is evidence of active disease. |
20 mg/kg/day | 20 (20) | As recommended. | PO | Heterotopic Ossification from Spinal Cord Injury: This dose is given for 2 wk followed by 10 mg/kg/day for 10 wk. Total treatment period is 12 wk. |
