Herb's Description
Allium cepa Linn. is a herb, bulbous, ovate-oblong in shape, is evergreen, and unbranched. Pedicles 4.5 times as long as the flower, spathe composed of 2-3, reflexed valves, acutish, filaments longer than the perianth, connate with each other and the perianth at its base and dilated, the outer toothless, the inner with a triangular, obtuse tooth on either side at the base.
