Viola odorata Linn.. Prostrate, cauline, annual to perennial herb with erect scapes. Rhizomes long, pointed, branched, slender, giving rise to a stoloniferous stem. Leaves broadly ovate, obtuse, hairy, cordate, 5-7 veined. Flowers odorous, violet. Capsule globose, 3-6 angled.
