    Herb's Description

    Thalictrum foliolosum DC.. Perennial, 50-80 cm high. Stem glabrous or pubescent, simple or branched. Leaves petiolate; leaflets ovate to suborbicular. Inflorescence in a simple subpyramidal panicle. Flowers small, greenish. Stamens 10-15, filaments 3- mm, whitish, anthers yellowish. Carpels sessile or with a very short stalk, stigma covering the whole length of the style(223). The root is creeping and of yellow colour, as thick as a goose quill; surface slightly contorted, knotty and covered with scales, the remains of rootlets. Cut surface is resinous, of a deep yellow colour and hollow in the centre. Light yellow rings arranged in wedges found between the hollow and the external portion.
