Anacardium occidentale Linn.'s Fruit: smooth in texture, kidney shaped. Curious fruit, fleshy portion known as cashew apple. The drupaceous nut is greenish-grey. The oleaginous shell or pericarp is hard, smooth and shining.It is thick and cellular and contains an acrid oily juice.
