Herb's Description
Terminalia chebula Retz.. Terminalia chebula is a tree with rounded crown and spreading branches. The bark is dark brown, Often longitudinally cracked; the leaves are ovate or elliptic with pair of large glands at the top of the petiole; the flowers are yellowish white in terminal spikes; the drupes are ellipsoidal, oboviod or ovoid, yellow to orange-brown and hard when ripe, becoming 5-ribbed on drying, the seeds are hard and pale yellow.A medium size to large deciduous tree, upto 25-30 m tall having many spread -: branches with pale greenish-grey and smooth bark. Leaves alternate V subopposite, elliptic-oblong or oblong, covered with silky hairs when young. Flowers bisexual, yellowish. Drupes ellipsoid or obovoid, 2-3.75 cm long*221'. Seeds hard, pale yellow
